Si Colebrooke and Sean O’Keeffe – two-thirds of the founding Moving Shadow team, had long been toying with ideas for how to make sure this vital legacy continued, and those sounds didn’t slip into becoming museum pieces. Finally, a couple of years ago, they gathered almost the entire Moving Shadow community together in a pub, and found that there was a serious appetite for more. And so, little by little, Over/Shadow was born.

Emcee Recordings is back to bring some serious sounds to the dance floor! Emcee is the brainchild of label boss MC GQ, the legendary, multi-award winning MC who’s been a major player in the Jungle/Drum and Bass scene since day one.

Since its first release in 1999, Emcee has gained a reputation as a breeding ground for cutting-edge, scene-shaping artists, launching the careers of major players such as Sabre, Allied Force, Clipz and MC:SP. GQ, in collaboration with DJ Chef have been working their way through a massive amount of tunes in order to shape the new sound for Emcee.
